Must I restore something stolen in a Game?

While playing an online game, I lied to someone and kept the stuff they dropped, and said it was gone.

This happened a long time ago.

Stolen things have to be given back right?

What should I do?
 
Maybe not a grave sin, but not cool. I’ve had something akin to this happen to me. Spent hours getting an item and someone tricked me and took it.

Either way, if they dropped it, or it was a drop from a monster or boss kill, then first come first served. If they dropped it’s not cool. A sin…in a way you steal their time. But not that big of a deal…unless it was a bought item.

Just don’t do it again.
 
It happened like this.

Someone else was online, and they died in game.
When that happened, they dropped some stuff.
I took some of the more valuable things, and gave back some of the other stuff.
I lied to him and said that the other items (which I kept) were lost.

I’m not sure if it was grave matter, it was only in a game so not real.
but I was stealing “something” from someone else. and lied about it.

This happened a long time ago.
 
If it happened a long time ago but it still bothers you, you should probably confess that you lied.
