Must Mass intentions be announced at Mass?

are mass intentions supposed to be said out loud before a mass
if so does this make a difference to the validity of the mass intention if it is not… i know i have heard this answer before but can not remember…thanks

There is no official Church requirement that Mass intentions must be announced at the beginning of Mass.
