Dear Jessica,
The most important part of praying the rosary is praying the rosary. The beads need not be blessed in order for the prayers to be heard. In blessing the beads we set them asside as something used for holy purposes. The Church has also assigned special indulgences to those who used rosaries that have received such blessings.
