Must we abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday?

Hi,

Yes, we are obliged to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and if we are between the ages of 18 and 59 we are fast by having only one full meal and two lighter ones, unless we have some medical reasons for not doing so.
