Must we abstain if I am on birth control for medical reasons?

I have to go on long term hormonal birth control for my severe Endometriosis. Must my husband and I abstain from marital relations while using the Pill, Depo shot, or IUD? Are any of these methods not able to be used in for medical treatment?
