What would be the stance of the church in the following situation? My sister just gave birth to her 8th child and there were very serious complications. God willed that they both survive,praise His name, but the doctors told her if she ever tried to have another kid theg would both certainly die. They told her birth control or even more drastic measures should be taken. Where does the church come out on this? My years in the faith tell me that God is now calling them to celibacy.
