I have this problem, you could say. When dealing with smart alecks, I tend to go for the throat, so to speak. As fun as it is, and as good as it feels, I’m sure the Lord isn’t pleased with it. Please pray that He change my heart, or at least give me the grace to fight the urge (or even the *desire *to fight the urge) to (verbally speaking) kill, kill, kill. Danke shun.

*But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. *-Galatians 5:22-24

O Holy Spirit , divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to You my understanding, my heart and my will, my whole being for time and eternity. May my understanding be always submissive to Your heavenly inspirations and to the teachings of the Catholic Church, of which You are the infallible Guide. May my heart be ever inflamed with love of God and of my neighbor; may my will be ever conformed to the divine Will, and may my whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and You, Holy Spirit, be honor and glory forever. Amen.
-St. Pius X

Holy and divine Spirit! Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Your spouse, bring the fullness of Your gifts into our hearts. Comforted and strengthened by You, may we live according to Your will and may we die praising Your infinite mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I share similar problems as you do. I know the difficulty in remaining charitable to others. I will pray for you.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O God, please Grace this person with your Divine Patience. Allow Our Blessed Mother to intercede for them, and give them the Grace to deal with others in a charitable manner, especially when those people are being difficult, sarcastic, or cynical. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.

Yeah I know, I am always in trouble here for not being charitable. I really am a nice guy and willing to help anyone that truly has questions about our faith…even those that honestly have doubts about what we believe. What gets me in trouble are those who come in here to slam and challenge what we believe, thinking they have the truth when they don’t. OH YEAH I HEAR ABOUT IT TOO:o

😃 ‘Danke shun’ means ‘thank you very much’ in German…but never mind!

God bless all you folk who are trying to put up with the rest of us kindly! Trying to make all of us as correct as we should be is like herding cats!
You’ve got humility and sense of humour on your side, so as we all battle to be as charitable and forgiving as we all need to be, I guess well make it through.

Maybe by the end of Lent we’ will all be shining examples of Christian witness and charity…if You will help us Lord!

Like I really shouldn’t have been so amused about "‘Danke’

I remembered your intention at Mass this morning and in my Hour of Adoration…:signofcross:

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for your attitude adjustment

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
