I know she is only a dog and I do keep things in perspective, but our 12 year old beagle, Victoria, is very ill. The Vet thinks she has Cushing’s desease which is treatable but after examining her abdomen, he thinks he found a mass there. Vicky has a 3:30 appointment with another, vet where they will most likely do x-rays.

She isn’t eating or drinking much but, at least, thank God, she appears comfortable and not in pain.

Please pray for her continued comfort, no matter what the outcome.

Thanks,
Micki

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Victoria. I recently had to put down my Scooter of almost 15 years and know what you are facing. Dogs or not they are part of our lives & family. St. Francis please intercede for us…

Dear one,

Of COURSE we will pray for you. Never, ever worry about the “only a dog” thing-they are beloved members of our family with souls.

From one dog owner to another, I will happily pray for you.

St. Roch, patron saint of dogs, please help guide this wonderful pet to whatever is next in her journey.

Tim

Praying for Victoria and you. St. Francis hear our prayers.

I’m keeping her in my prayers. I know exactly how you feel. My cats are beloved members of my family… St Francis please watch over this dear companion.

Praying for you and your little doggie.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you so very much for all of your prayers.

Vicki has a tumor in her liver. We’ll get the results of the biopsy on Thursday. If it’s a slow growing cancer, then surgery could give her a year or two. If not…

Micki

Continued prayers for you both. Micki and Vicki - sounds like a comedy double-act 😃

God surely loves His feathered, furred and finned creatures more than we will ever know. And St Francis of Assisi showed us that love of creatures can enhance our love of the Creator. So there’s nothing wrong with your love for poor Vicki.

Praying to St. Francis of Assisi for Micki and Vicki. May Vicki have comfort and Micky have grace.

Results of the biopsy were inconclusive so there was no definative diagnosis.

Vicki is scheduled for surgery tomorrow (Friday). They will first x-ray her lungs to make sure there is no cancer there and then proceed. The vet is optomistic that if most or all of the tumor can be removed, Vicki can be around for another year or two. At 12 years of age, that’s a great prognisis!!

Thanks for all your prayers!

Micki

We left Vicki at the vet hospital at 8:30. It is now 1:15 and no word yet. They do have a number of surgeries scheduled for today.

Thanks for the prayers.

I blessed her with holy water before she left for the hospital.
