Just got off the phone with the vet. He was able to remove 99% of the tumor.
The x-ray showed no spread of cancer to her lungs. They will biopsy the liver so we don’t know yet if it is even cancerous.

The vet said that Vicki was doing well in recovery and, of course, will be closely monitored.

I had prayed that Vicki be given a second chance. She had never been ill like this before so the suddenness of this sickness was difficult to deal with.

If we’re blessed to have her a year or too more or however long, we will be very grateful.

You folks have been wonderfully supportive. We are VERY thankful!!

God bless,
Micki

Thank God for the gift of our animals - dogs and cats!

Micki, you are most fortunate that Our Lord has given you the additional blessing of having the financial means to help Vicki.

You have much to thank Him for!

Give that little beagle a hug for Lormar!:)🙂

Micki - I am glad that Vicki is doing so well. What wonderful news. I will continue to pray for Vicki and you.

I just saw your prayer request, I’m glad that her prognosis is encouraging and I shall
pray for you and Vicki.

I know what you’re going thru from personal experience.

I’m almost ready to get a new dog, I know we only have them for a brief while, but the alternative is a life without dogs and I don’t want to live that way.

Please keep us informed about Vicki and maybe post a photo when you can.

I’m sending my prayers, I had a little Beagle myself not too long ago he was with us for 16 years and I loved him more than anything. I really hope Vicki turns out to be 100% fine!

God bless 🙂

Vicki is back home. She did have cancer but it is the slow-growing type. The liver tissue surrounding the section of the tumor that was removed was cancer free so the surgeon removed all of the cancerous tissue.

She does not have to get chemo but will need an ultra sound in three months.

Now, she has some arthritis acting up. Poor baby!! --but some meds can handle that.

Yes, despite everything we are blessed to have had the finances to help her. Also, I’m off now for the summer, so I can nurse her through all of this. It would have been very difficult to leave her alone all day.

Her appetite is increasing and her spirits are improving also.

God bless you and thank you all VERY much for your prayers. You have helped me deepen my faith and my understanding of the power of prayer. I know there are times when the Lord’s answer is “No.” Your prayers during this time have helped me to accept His will not matter what happened!!

Thank you Micki for the update on Vicki. Continued prayers for you both. Thankfully, you will be home with her. Please keep us updated on her progress.
