Heavenly Father , I ask you to shower Your Healing Grace on Tony , who has suffered this grievous accident , and give him strength to recover from his terrible injuries . Please help all those who are involved in treating him , to aid his recovery using all their skill , knowledge and dedication . Please grant Lord , that by Your Mercy and Compassion , Tony may recover as many of his facilities as possible .We thank You , Heavenly Father for helping the doctors to track his infection and so aid his improvement ; we pray that Tony’s improvement will continue and his condition be stabilised . Please give comfort, strength and help to his wife Bernice and his family in this worrying time , and sustain them confident in Your love and mercy . Lord God , bless them , together with our dear friend Trishie . Amen .

Lord, look upon Tony with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon him, may your life giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul ,cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength . Amen.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick,we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Amen .
Dear God, we place our worries in your hands.We place Tony under your care and humbly ask that you restore him to completely good health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Loving God,

We lift our prayers and intentions for Tony today, and we ask for your blessings and mercy for Tony and his family during the time of great challenge in their lives. Lord, it is hard to understand why very difficult things happen to good people in this life, but we ask for your grace and trust in your divine providence as we pray and hope for the best possible outcome, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please grant Tony the gift of finding the best path forward in his life in whatever manner you desire, be it through healing or as a witness to others in his current state. Please strengthen and grant courage to Bernice and the family members as they minister to Tony and pray for him. Please help all involved to stay positive and hopeful as they continue their journeys of faith.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Thank you for your loving prayers.
Tony continues to inspire us with his practical acceptance of his disability.
He is finding satisfaction in each small achievement, for instance, in being able to feed himself with a fork or spoon strapped to his wrist (as a C6-7 quadriplegic he can’t use fingers) The doctors are pleased with his attitude and progress.

He even typed with something strapped to his wrist, his first post on the family’s blog set up after his accident. You can imagine our joy and surprise to see his post as we all check the blog several times daily.

Tony’s first words were thanks for all the prayers. He believes that prayer is responsible for his spiritual strength and attitude**.

Tony has sufficiently recovered from the pneumonia to be moving to rehabilitation where he will continue to learn the skills that he needs.

I thank and praise You Lord for Tony and Bernice’s faith and positive attitudes. I thank You that they are doing their best to normalize this unexpected new phase in their lives. I think a lot of us would crumble, but with Your grace, these two are marvelous. Such is Your grace.
 
Thank you for the update, Trishie. Tony is frequently in my thoughts and always in my prayers. Still hoping and praying for a miracle that will restore him to full functioning…
