Loving God,

We lift our prayers and intentions for Tony today, and we ask for your blessings and mercy for Tony and his family during the time of great challenge in their lives. Lord, it is hard to understand why very difficult things happen to good people in this life, but we ask for your grace and trust in your divine providence as we pray and hope for the best possible outcome, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please grant Tony the gift of finding the best path forward in his life in whatever manner you desire, be it through healing or as a witness to others in his current state. Please strengthen and grant courage to Bernice and the family members as they minister to Tony and pray for him. Please help all involved to stay positive and hopeful as they continue their journeys of faith.

Dear Lord, Tony’s physical rehabilitation to strengthen his available function and to learn the skills he needs, has taken on unexpected possibility, as Tony managed to wiggle his left hand fingers and left toes. It’s not a vague but a real wiggle that has appeared suddenly. Thank You, Lord. The doctors had been clear he could regain no further function, so Lord, with thanks and praise we place this new development and ask Your continuing help and blessing. Even if he only regains some function in his left side this is a great gift for which we thank You.

Lord please thank and bless those praying for our Tony and his wife and family.

(*By the way, someone appeared to think that my mention of his going to a rehabilitation unit in the hospital might refer to substance abuse. Not at all. Never. Tony is a good and reliable man, and never in his life has done anything like that. In the rehabilitation unit he will receive physical therapy but it is more than that, with all the aid offered, rehabilitation is the term which best covers his treatment over the next several months, the staff apply themselves to *all aspects, not just physical therapy, of learning to live life as a disabled person. How disabled is now in question, within God’s loving mercy, and with his courage, and the rehabilitation team efforts.

Heavenly Father , I ask you to shower Your Healing Grace on Tony , who has suffered this grievous accident , and give him strength to recover from his terrible injuries . Please help all those who are involved in treating him , to aid his recovery using all their skill , knowledge and dedication . Please grant Lord , that by Your Mercy and Compassion , Tony may recover as many of his facilities as possible .We thank You , Heavenly Father for this further improvement in his condition and we pray that it will continue and be stabilised as he moves into rehabilitation . Please give comfort, strength and help to his wife Bernice and his family in this worrying time , and sustain them , confident in Your love and mercy . Lord God , bless them , together with our dear friend Trishie . Amen .

Lord, look upon Tony with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon him, may your life giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul ,cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength . Amen.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick,we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Amen .
Dear God, we place our worries in your hands.We place Tony under your care and humbly ask that you restore him to completely good health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness,
I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Tony.

You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command,
you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from the dead.
I ask you to send forth Your healing power into his body and give him the strength to fight this illness.
I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
