Well…by leaving the Catholic Church, he exposed himself to further compromises of his spirituality. The Mormons have probably identified him as an easy mark. Some people are chronic converters, constantly doubting their beliefs, in search of ‘new truths’, changing denominations every couple of years. I listened to a rather strange man on “The Journey Home” (EWTN), who painstakingly described how and why he had belonged to about a dozen denominatons before converting to Catholicism. The guy was smart, thoughtful, but confused and almost obessively introspective. He constantly doubted everything, and nearly talked himself into nervous breakdowns with his second-guessing of all things religious. At the end of the interview, when Marcus asked him for some closing comments, he had the audacity to recommend to his ‘new’, fellow Catholics, that *we be converted *to the ‘true Lord’. Wow.
Oh Lord, guide Thy son (Christy’s friend) in the way of truth. Speak to him, of the Truth of the Catholic faith and let him not be discouraged or misled by those who might try to lead him in the wrong direction (even though, they think it is the right direction). Lord, grant that Thy servant (Christy’s friend) may be filled with the Holy Spirit, love of the Eucharist and devotion to Our Lady… and do not permit him to wander from Thy side. Amen.
I suspect the original poster means the Catholic Church in Korea, or the Catholic faith handed down from Korean ancestors. I am unaware of any schismatic group so named.
there are now booklets being sent out that you should be able to gain. I know that at the WYD in Sydney there are many booklets being given out to combat against the bombardment by anti catholics / Christians.You can do much by filling your mind with truth and that will be gained from reading the bible and catechism. You are in the hot seat so speak up. this other person can only win if you are not knowledgeable of the bible yourself.
