It was great after so many years to receive communion this morning.
It was a bit surreal as I stood in the line to receive communion. Finally when the person before me accepted the sacrament, I genuflected, stood up and took a pace forward, waited for the deacon to say, “The Body of Christ,” and then I said Amen. I received the Host on my tongue and then I exited right.
I did not partake in the Precious Blood that was offered. I walked back to my pew and knelt down to pray. What a glorious feeling!
As I left the Church, I felt much joy. I still feel that joy I write these words.
Thanks for my brothers and sisters here on CAF who have prayed for me to go to confession and to receive communion.
Perhaps next Sunday, I will receive the Precious Blood, as well, but for now receiving the Sacred Body of Christ has made this a truly wonderful Sunday. I am truly blessed!
