From one fibro person to another, :console: :hug3: !! You are in my prayers!!:byzsoc::byzsoc:

C99~

You are a sweetheart! You know that you are in my prayers everyday. I pray that the Lord continues to show you all the love that He has to give you. You are an amazing person and I know that our Father has great plans for you. You are in my prayers at adoration today.

MM

Thank you SO much for continuing to remember me in prayer. You are all so kind. God bless you for your kindness to me. 👍

Convert, thank you so much for everything you are bringing to the forums. You are in my prayers, may God bless you

Thank you SO much everyone. 😃 You are my Simon of cyrene right now! 😉

Thanks for all your prayers and support. My husband came home tonight and was upset because he heard a story of a woman who felt she was a burden to her family and committed suicide. I didn’t know he was worried I’d do that. Now I REALLY feel bad for him having to put up with me. 😦 😦

May God bless you and yours for your kindness to me! 🙂
Convert:

Please understand - you are nor a burden. You are part of what God is doing with your husband to make him ready for His Kingdom. Your husband is worried because he LOVES YOU! NOT BECAUSE YOU’RE A BURDEN… The idea that you are a burden is a message straight from the Father of Lies Himself. Please don’t listen to him.

Almost everyone here knows the level of pain I have to go through, and the battles I have with my HMO. So, This comes from first hand knowledge… Please try a Pain Management Specialist for your pain. I’ve been going to one for the last 2 years, and he’s been a Godsend. I still can’t find work (something about being Polydisabled scares prospective employers off), but at least I can function. I think you’ll find that at least some of your depression is either a result of or exacerbated by your pain, and that it will be more manageable once the pain is under control.

Please pray when and how you can - I’ll do the Rosary when I go to bed, and the Lord has been using it to help me go to sleep (I used to suffer from insomnia). Pray an “Our Father” while starting the car, a “Hail Mary” while writing a post, “The Angelus” while walking through the hall, or add short prayer while saying “Grace”. A little bit here, and a little bit there has a way of adding up…

Before you know it, you’ll be “Praying without ceasing”, because prayer is more a conversation than a set of L-O-N-G prayers.

I hope and pray that this proves to be helpful to you.

Your Brother in Christ, Michael

I saw in another thread that you have Fibromyalgia - I’ve heard that it’s not only painful, but that it can really wear you out and make a real mess of your life.

Here are a few links I hope will help:

National Fibromyalgia Association
fmaware.org/

National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases
niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/fibromyalgia/fibrofs.htm

WebMD Fibromyalgia Health Center
webmd.com/fibromyalgia/default.htm

ProHealth - Fibromyalgia Support

FibroHugs

I hope that one or more of these will help you to see thar you aren’t alone, that others are in the same situation as you are, and are suffering, or have suffered, the same pain and depression as you are, and have.

At the same time, I don’t know if you are availing yourself of the Healing Sacraments of the Church (esp. the Sacrament of Unction or Healing), so this may be unnecessary. I get Unction once every 2 or 3 months (more frequently if my back is really kicking my “you-know-what”). If you haven’t received the Sacrament of Unction within the last 2 months, I really believe you should receive it now, esp. since you know that you have Fibromyalgia.

The Graces you receive, and the Healing of your soul (if nothing else) will be well worth the trouble of tracking don the priest and asking for the Sacrament.

What I want you to know, and what I believe you need to experience, is the height and width and depth of the Love of God for you, and that you are not alone.

Your Brother in Christ, Michael

God loves you, and will never stop loving you. Your Father, your brother and friend the Lord Jesus, and the ever-present Advocate and Consoler, the Holy Spirit, are with you, sustaining you, this moment. Blessed Mother Mary and your angel walk with you.

Remember that Satan will do anything he can, to cloud your awareness of this, the deceitful liar. He wants you to feel bad, make you feel that God is mad, that all will forsake you. He delights in your pain, and that’s the hook he uses to pull you down.

When you fall, as we all do, remember that God’s arms, and the arms of all who pray for you, are always open, ready to lift you up.

Convert, I can relate. I too have fibromyalgia, and chronic back syndrome and depression at times. I do know what it is like to live in pain everyday. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be totally pain free. I had one day the Lord gave me and it was great. I do wear a pain patch that helps a little. I still have to do everything around the house though for my husband is also disabled. I do thank God for it all and know that He has his reasons. I also offer up every single pain and frustration. Like you I get to have some days that I just don’t want to go on and think that being dead would be better, but then they pass and I love life.

I will keep you a fellow sufferer in my prayers. A booklet from St. Louis de Montfort helped me years ago and sometimes I read it again and again. I think it is called, for I can’t find it now, “A letter to the Friends of the Cross.”

I’m praying for you. May the Holy Spirit empower you and give you peace.

Thank you all SO much for remembering me in prayer.

May God bless you and yours for your kindness to me!

Oh Convert. I am so sorry to read that you have felt this way. You are such a positive force and inspiration on these threads, and you do such good for others. I wish I could be more like you, and I will keep you in my prayers.:console:

Hey sister, I just caught this thread now. I was looking for you.

Let us pray O Lord, Jesus Christ, by Thy most sacred suffering and by the prayer which Thou didst pour forth for us on the Mount of Olives, where Thy sweat became as drops of blood running down upon the earth, I beseach Thee to offer up the many drops of Thy Bloody sweat, which in Thy fearful anguish Thou didst most abundantly shed for us, and graciously to present them to Thy Almighty Father, to be balanced against this time of the weight of(Convert’s cross) of this thy servant, mercifully deliver Convert into the comfort of your merciful loving arms assuring her you are too, carrying this cross with her. Lord, hear the petitions of your faithful
In the name of your pure and loving generous heart, Jesus Christ our Lord
Convert, please read Ps 140, 1-2 and Matt 7 7-8 its very comforting.

You are in my prayers, keep your thoughts up high and your troubles low and take each day in prayer asking Jesus to be with you during this time. We are.

Or, maybe you should try meditating on these:

"Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
“Behold, I have inscribed your names on the palms of My hands;”

Isaiah 49:15-18a NASB

Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

Psalm 139:7-12 ESV

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died–more than that, who was raised–who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-39 ESV

Please know that the one who wants you to believe that you are unloved and unloveable is the Liar and the Father of Lies, the Adversary and the Accuser of the People of God and of Israel. Don’t listen to his Lies or his False Accusations. Tell Satan that you belong to Jesus who loved you so much He inscribed your name on the Palm of His hand using the very nails that nailed him to the Cross, and that, because you belong to Jesus, you don’t have to listen to his Lies or his False Accusations. and, Then, Tell him, in the Holy Name of Jesus, to leave you and to leave you alone.

Your Brother in Christ, Michael

Thank you to all for all of the kind prayers and replies. May God bless you and yours! 🙂
