My dad bought me a fidget spinner (I'm a female in her 30's)😮

I don’t know which country your family hails from, but here in Poland, spinners are incredibly trendy. My cousin who is your age has one. His young daughter has one. I see young people (20s) using them. Orlen petrol stations have giveaways for them. For all I see, your father was being extra-European. If anything he was being especially fashionable and perceives you as someone fashionable. Just my opinion based on Polish ‘trendy’ (or ‘tryndy’ if you speak Warsaw dialect).

This may seem trivial but is there anyone who can provide me with some insight regarding how i should perceive this.
I’m a woman in her 30’s of European background…and…my dad yesterday randomly bought me a… fidget spinner.
It’s the thought that counts,yes, but I’m a bit confused why he would think this is something that I would be interested in,maybe when I was 10 I would have been.
Does he think I am a child?

Do I pretend to like it?
Do I risk hurting his feelings and tell him it is more for a child etc?

I should mention,my dad is very intelligent and of sound mind so there is nothing like Dementia going on here.

What am I meant to make of this please?

I don’t think it’s necessariliy any statement on his part at all. He probably just thought it was something fun and cool… I’d probably just say “thanks dad” I might even have fun playing with it

I agree with a lot of the posts this is very trivial and I think you are way over thinking this. What does being in your 30s and European background mean that you cant have any fun? Lighten up don’t be so serious.
