My Daily Mass chapel does not have pews or kneelers. Just folding chairs.

I’m not certain that creature comforts are even near the top of God’s priority list. He was working miracles long before air conditioning, padded seats or kneelers.

Personally, I think all those things are nice but I’m pretty sure they aren’t a big deal to God.

I still think the op’s church will end up getting pews and kneelers when they can afford them. Anyone that has been involved with a church building program knows that cost overruns happen in very significant amounts. When it’s time for that to happen, choices have to be made into what to delay. This is what they chose. Until it can be rectified, stand.

Air-conditioning and padded seats? I’ve never been in a church that has either air-conditioning or padded seats.

My husband’s home parish in Ireland doesn’t even have central heat.
Well, it was built in 1216…so I think we’ll cut them some slack! LOL 😃
Beautiful Abbey.

This is not about Catholic tradition and Catholic customs. Complaints and questions about budgets and construction should be taken to the local parish.
