I just wanted to post a little something about my husband.

He is a hard-working, intelligent man, with a strong love for our Catholic faith. We became Catholic as a family about four years ago, and we study as much about our faith as we can. He is a wonderful father to our five children, and he is supportive of NFP for trying to avoid more. (My uterus is not in the best of conditions, and I have hemorrhaging problems after birth.) He is the head of our household, and I have no qualms or worries about submitting to him.

He is cute, too!

I love my husband very, very much. We are closing in on our twelfth anniversary next month. I thank God for my darling husband!

May the Lord keep you humble and bless you and your family.

What a great guy! And how blessed is he to have a wife who appreicates him so? No wonder you’ve been married for twenty years?!!

May you be blessed with many many more! 🙂

Umm…she said said 12th anniversary. 😛

Very sweet post.🙂

I hope all single women who are looking for a husband read this and realize there are still good men out there. Lots of women (me included:)) sometimes get discouraged that there aren’t any men out there that stand up and take their responsibilities seriously rather than letting their wives take care of everything!

Congratulations!! You are a lucky woman!!

I love my husband dearly, too…he is a gem on many levels. Patient, kindhearted, and a good provider, he is an excellent dad and tries to show his love to me in various ways–I’m blessed beyond belief, to be with him. Plus, he puts up with me, so…😛

God bless you Sillara, that you and your husband have a terrific, loving marriage…may you continue doing what you’re doing! I think your thread is refreshing, and yes, there are still great men out there! 🙂 Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you, everyone. I was just tired of seeing only bad things about husbands. My husband is great, and I am very proud of him. I love him more than I can express, and I hope that he sees this thread just to know how I feel about him.

(And I do tell him, too! I just want him to know that I tell other people about him as well.)

Thank you for your message send to us, Sillara! very glad to see this.🙂
Why do you not write about all that, Sillara ? That I do not think of such things is not to be wondered at; but nobody else here has thoughts like these. but perhaps just I haven’t read them yet.
May God bless you and your darling husband. 🙂

Dear Sillara,
I am so sorry about your health, and May God return health to you.- that when I read your post a little while ago, I just see you are so good , I did not notice you said about your health, that- I don’t know that two English words meaning (hemorrhaging and another word)😊 - I just use Translator to check what 's the meaning,😊 my English not so good,
And I am sorry for you, and sorry for my writing, and may God return health to you.

Thank you, Roselily, for your kind words.

I am not a very good wife, I am afraid. I try to be, but sometimes I am afraid that I am careless of my husband’s feelings (never on purpose, but even accidental injuries hurt!).

Thank you for your prayers. I am not concerned about my health, really. We will try to avoid other children after what the nurses said to me after Baby #5, but if God chooses to bless us, then amen! I will trust that He will bring me through it in the best way, even if that means losing my uterus (or my life). I face that after Baby #2, and every day after that has been an unexpected grace.

Back to my husband, he is sweet and kind, and I want to try to be the best wife I can for him! Numinous, I love you!

Aw… thanks so much for your post. I hear a lot of spouses being disparaged, and as an unmarried girl who hopes to be married someday, it can be downright discouraging. Hearing a wife come on to actually praise and lift up her husband is such a breath of fresh air, and so inspiring to me. God bless!

I just wanted to bump this thread up a bit. 😃

I have been reading sad things about marriages lately, and I wanted to encourage others out there. Marriage can be a wonderful, beautiful thing. My husband inspires me to be a better woman. I love him dearly, and I want to do my best to help him get to Heaven.

There still are good men out there. I have one, and I love him more than I can express.

“Ah, you’re so good, Sillara,”:hug1:
You admire him?
:blush:You love him more than you can express, then?

What a sweet thread!
You sound very blessed to have such an amazing spouse.

I too have been blessed beyond words. My husband is the best gift God has ever given to me. A treasure beyond compare.

Yes, I agree there should be more threads like this. 🙂

What a great thread topic. It deserved a bump. 👍

Marriage is indeed a wonderful, beautiful thing, and spouses can inspire us to be better people. There’s is no way I would be the person I am without my husband, and he’d tell you the same thing, vice-versa.

People can get so focussed on the little, annoying things in their life that they forget the big picture. Marriage is a vocation. It’s the path to sanctity for those who choose marriage.

It’s great to hear about the good marriages - thank you for posting this. 😃

My DH and I had a nice compliment today. I was working with another lady arranging some flowers at church this morning, and DH was hanging around to carry heavy things and offer other help as needed. The other lady mentioned how nice DH was, and I said, “Yup, 28 years’ worth of nice.” And she said, by the way we treated each other, she would have guessed only one year.

He anticipates my every need. I wish I could be as good to him as he is to me. I’m still learning.
