I’m sorry your family is dealing with this. I wanted to share something with you that I hope will be an encouragement. I have a genetic cancer disease and have had so many surgeries that I lost count–brain surgery, spinal cord surgeries, abdominal–really invasive and sometimes life-altering procedures. Of all the surgeries I’ve had since 2000, my brain surgery was by far the easiest from which to recover and minimally painful (narcotics controlled the pain very well in the days following). I know it is scary to think about brain surgery and that your daughter’s surgery and mine may be completely different procedures, but she’ll still have similar things done in other regards. My dad, God rest his precious soul, died from our disease but he also had many surgeries; the brain surgeries were his easiest as well.

Your family is in my prayers and I hope all goes well. May God give you peace of heart and mind.

Thank you, that is comforting to know, as hard as this is to deal with, at least she should have an easy recover.

Also thank you all who have and will pray for her! It means so much to my wife and I.
