:)I for one like to let anyone know that this is from experience. The only time I was able to be with other catholics was when I am in Mexico. I grew up with Mormons and even though we believe in different things, I am able to make friends with many of them. sometimes they try to convert me. Usually the ones I tried to avoid are the recent converts, especially from the Latin America countries. they tend to judge more than the native born mormons.

Most mormons don’t drink or smoke and don’t even gamble or drink coffee. They are great people like us. Maybe we can show the rest of the world that people with different beliefs can get along and be friends. I love my church and will never leave. But its great to share our different beliefs without getting into shouting matches. we all know in our hearts that the Catholic church is the true church.

Beautifully said. This is one reason I love Thomas Merton as a writer so much, he had such a way with clarifying why it is much more Gospel-like to engage in peaceful and constructive dialogue with other faiths. This is a good topic, thanks for posting. 😃

I’ve had a few good friends (in high school) that were Mormon. Great people.

I don’t think any one on these forums have ever said that Mormons are bad people. The fact is they are people, just like everyone else. They are just misled people.
