My aunt gave me a book on Tuscan cooking complete with pasta scoop, cutting boards and strainer and my mother gave me a paella pan with a paella recipe book, spatulas, and potholders.

I love to cook, especially paella, and I’ve been getting back to my roots lately (my father’s from Tuscany and there is some Spanish ancestry as well). Looks like I’ll be having fun in the kitchen:)

Anyone else get wicked awesome presents this Christmas?
 
I did! I did! Outside of my (strange) three bottles of cognac…

My 6 year old son got me a “The Adicts” t-shirt (no I didn’t spell it wrong, it’s the way the band spells it) and slim fitting/long as is in style.

My 8 year old daughter got me a “The Clash” t-shirt in the same style as The Adicts one…

Santa gave me both Amy Winehouse CD’s and the latest White Stripes CD in my stocking.

And my DH got me an iPod 4gb Nano!!! Woot Woot!

Oh and Colbert’s I am America and So Can You!

And like you I got a new pan from DH, a big old high sides type with teflon and lid. My old one started to flake teflon so I asked for a new one. DH tried to get me a dutch oven but gave up after only finding a four quart one. Remind me to give you my homemade egg noodle recipe – you’ll love it!
 
My mother gave me a KitchenAid stand mixer 👍:eek::cool:👍 I love to cook and bake, so this will be so much fun 😃

My dad was born in Italy, as well…my mom’s side from Ireland and Scotland. I don’t think I inherited the cooking gene…😃 But, I try. I think your present sounds great!

I received Dolce & Gabanna parfum…I have been wanting that…The One, it’s called…it smells so mmm…good! I love it. My husband also bought me a beautiful rosary – imported from Jerusalem…made out of olive pits…have you heard of such a thing? Really something out of this world.🙂 Have a good one, maria!
 
DH gave me a beautiful wooden jewelry box, all lined in velvet, special hooks to hang chains, etc. Both of our parents gave me pretty new earrings to put in it.

My SIL enrolled us in a “chocolate of the month” club for three months. I’m looking forward to seeing how this works (and to eating the chocolate, of course). 😃
 
My mom got me the keyboard I asked for!!! yay!!!

My boyfriends dad got me a lovely necklace and earring set, and his grandma gave me a beautiful jewelry box with a very nice necklace inside 🙂 I felt so included.

My mom also got my sister and I a bunch of “joint” board games ( we were with her when she got them but it was still fun to open them)

My sister gave me a great songbook with broadway songs from 1989-2005. I love it!

Last but definitely not least, my boyfriend got me a video game that I didn’t really want :rolleyes: and a pink sapphire ring/necklace set 👍

I also received a ton of books I had been wanting and a crocheted scarf from my boyfriend’s sister’s mother-in-law lol. All in all I had a great Christmas
 
All I wanted for Christmas was Johnny Depp… youtube.com/watch?v=LsHDdawSjLU …so the kids got me Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End. The girls at work also put up pics of him in the staff kitchen

The kids also got us tickets for Young Frankenstein on Broadway.

Hubby got me a lap table for my laptop and a hanging votive candle holder to hang by my icons. He also got me some clothes.

My husband surprised me w/ a Kitchen Aid 17 years ago! It’s still going strong 👍 .

This year I got a stove top espresso maker and milk foamer.

I’m laughing along w/ whoever got Blades of Glory. What a hoot! Don’t you just love the power blue peacock outfit John Heder wears at the beginning?! —KCT
