Please pray for my husband and family, after 29 yrs I have returned to my Catholic faith after having been a very devout nondenominational christian. Needless to say this is confusing for my husband and children, some of whom are married with children of their own. I was widowed 20 yrs ago with 3 children and married my husband now, he was divorced, not his choice, his wife left him for another man. He waited for 4 yrs and finally divorced. I met him 7yrs after the fact and he has helped me raise the 3 children I had with my first husband and we also have an almost 15 yr old son together. My husband and his ex wife were not christians when they married nor were either of them catholic, my husband converted to christianity shortly before his first wife of 5 yrs left him. We have been married 17 yrs. My situation is complex in that while my husband has no objection to my converting back to catholoiscm he is totally uninterested. Compounded to this because of his first marriage I am unable to recieve the eucharist that I now know to be the body soul and divinity of my Lord Jesus. This has all happened with a speed that is breathtaking and I do not want to allienate my husband to the church by even suggesting that he seek an annulement to his first marriage. Please pray for us. The head Pastor at the church I have been attending is looking further into the complex issues at hand but from what I understand I will be unalble to recieve communion unless my husband seeks an annulment. Right now it is almost an agony for me to attend mass and not be able to recieve the Lords supper. This is all so confusing to me as God has always been so close and dear to my heart and to my husbands and it was our understanding that a marriage was made void when adultery without repentance was the reason for the divorce. Please keep us in your prayers, the ideal situation would be that the first marriage would be canceled out by our christian marriage and hopefully the Lord could show my husband what his will for him is as the spiritual head of our family. Thank you Mary
