I know pride is a fatal sin. But, now, I feel like I become a really arrogant person. I even think that I can be as good as God. But, now, I am really afraid and I do not know why. But, I just can not get rid of this arrogance. But, I do know that I am scared and I am wrong.

Have I refused Him? Can I go back?
What should I do? How to get rid of this arrogance?
Please help me

Jaqz no matter how grave your sin is if you sincerely repent you can go back to God and HE WILL FORGIVE YOU. Now since you’re admitting your sin (Pride) then that;s a good sign that God;s grace is at work. He doesn’t want to lose you so He calls you back.
I suggest that you go to confession and spend some moments in prayer everyday. The enemy has no match for God’s grace! God bless!

you can overcome this, all you need to do is ask God for the help,
God will let this happen, when we move from one sin to the next, they will become more profound and bothersome in our lives, and He lets this happen so we will work harder to overcome this sin, which we do by prayer, confession, communion, mortification, spiritual reading…don’t be distraught, God has brought this to the surface for you, because He has been aware of it, and now He wants you to be aware of it, so together you can overcome it,

God is patient and loves you very much, He is not displeased with you when you want to overcome your sins and try your best to do so,
but He is displeased when we do not ask Him for help, because it is when we do not ask for His help that we fall…God wants us to succeed, so ask Him for strength and courage, and always ask and consult Him for all your spiritual and temporal needs.

my advise would be, bring this up with your confessor, tell him specifically what kind of pride you are struggling with, and ask him how to overcome it.
and also just pray every day on it and ask for God’s help every time you are tempted to it.

Yes, receive the Sacraments,
and try to be kind to someone each day, even if just a friendly smile and a kind word. In showing kindness to others even in little way, you are showing both humility and love, and you are fulfilling Jesus command to love others as yourself. And in doing so you are humble and loving even if you don’t feel like you are. If you have a bible and read Matthew 25 verses 31-46, you will see how much Jesus values every kindness to others, whether great or small, and for those kind acts, He will welcome you into heaven.

“Nothing can become between us and the love of Christ, even if we are worried or troubled, or being persecuted, or lacking food or clothes, or being threatened or even attacked. These are the trials through which we triumph, by the power of Him who loved us.” [Romans 8:35-37]

I am going to point something to you jaqz, the moment you typed your question. Did you know the answer to your question when you typed it? Or were you feeling reserved and doubtful and humble at that moment or are you waiting for someone to say something you agree too? If it was the not the latter then you can understand what you must do to remove the desire to control it all… the others have posted the best way to seek to renew you soul, and I am just moving in a different direction that you may better see…

All of Us are unique, we all have different personalities, we are like snowflakes, no two the same, we all have flaws we need to work on, I have met arrogant priests even. If You indeed are arrogant, You should work on becoming humble, not a doormat, but more humble, more in touch with the needs of others, more sensitivity etc. I know a cradle Catholic, a good man, but very arrogant & full of pride, & it`s really not a flattering trait. Good Luck!
