My father is having eye surgery Tuesday 8/11

One of my dad’s eyes started bleeding from the back Wednesday afternoon and he is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday. The doctors don’t seem to have any idea as to the cause since it usually happens to diabetics, which my dad is not. Pray he’ll be alright and we can save his eye. He needs to be able to get to work as he is the main breadwinner. Thank you.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( Redbetta’s Father). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Redbetta’s Father’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

rejected great promises and resisted threats
in remaining faithful to your beloved Lord.

For centuries, Christians have invoked you –

now we implore your intercession for @redbetta’s
father, who is undergoing eye surgery.

@redbetta Praying for your father to have a successful eye surgery through the intercession of St. Raphael who helped Tobias make balms and ointments from fish to cure his father’s blindness. The following prayer can be recited as a Novena for nine days for any special intention.
O good St. Raphael, I invoke thee as the patron of those who are afflicted with bodily illness or ailment. Thou didst prepare the remedy which cured the blindness of Tobias’ father Tobit and thy name means “God has healed”. I turn to thee for help in this present need (restore vision of redbetta’s father). If it be the Will of God, deign to cure his ailment, or at least give him the strength needed to bear it patiently in atonement for sins and for the salvation of all souls. Unite his sufferings with those of Jesus and Mary in seeking God’s grace in prayer and Holy Communion. May we imitate thy zeal to do God’s Will in all things. As with young Tobias, be our companion as we journey through this valley of tears. So my dad’s surgery was postponed because he apparently tested positive for COVID. He had it and recovered from it in May and we think what happened is that they found antibodies in his blood test for the virus and assumed it’s because of an active infection. Mom is trying to argue with the doctor. Pray my dad won’t lose his eye over this.
