Thanks Pam, I really appreciate that. Nice to hear from you again. Thank you everyone for your prayers. He has just broken his leg 2 nights ago, so he could use some prayers right now. Having a rough go of it now but he will be ok in time. My prayers are with all of you too for whatever you may be needing at this time in your life. God Bless you all. I am so glad that I found this site.

I am praying for your father and family, may you all experience the love of God who will surely respond to your prayers with wisdom and mercy.
May your family stay united in His special and endless love for you.

Update:

Dad had surgery 2 Mondays ago. He had to have 6 screws and 2 plates put in his ankle. During that process the doctors discovered that his original doctor was having him on a process that was burning tubes to his kidneys. It was making him not able to be a candidate at all ever for a transplant. His method of dialysis and perscriptions were very wrong for him. The new doctors at the hospital have taken over and he says he is feeling better than he ever has. They caught the mistake just in time. He is still a candidate for a kidney transplant. There is no question that your prayers have helped my father, and that is was divine intervention that he broke his ankle, at that specific time, and met with those very good doctors that have saved him from a lifetime of physical pain. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and thoughts for my father. He calls me all the time now, and I have never heard him so happy in I dont know when. I am getting really excited that he may find a kidney soon. It will be 2 years this Thanksgiving he has been on the list, they said it usually takes about 3, so we are getting there. Thank you again. Love you,

–Shannon

****Please pray with me for my father Wayne GW that he will find a kidney very soon to save his life. He is only 57, he is on dialysis everyday and has had 3 operations to be able to do dialysis.
He works so hard. He gets up every morning no matter how tired he is and drives all over the better part of the South East region of the US and sometimes flies to Boston for work and still does dialysis at night. I am graduating fom college this fall and he has helped me to be able to do this. I have offered him my kidney and he will not take me or my brothers kidney. He is a tough old bird and never gives up. He is a self-made man and has worked very hard his entire life to provide for his family and he is a fine example of a father. He has been on dialysis for over a year. With the data I have seen for people on waiting lists, I am getting very worried and discouraged although he is not. He is the finest man anyone could ever know. I am asking for your prayers please. He deserves a happy and healthy life. He prays the rosary everyday and never misses mass regardless of anything. Thank you for your prayers. He, my mom, my brother, and I believe in the power of prayer and novenas and that Jesus Christ will get our family through this. Thank you.Thank you!

Dear Shannon,
Your Father will be in my prayers for his healing.
May God’s mercy keep you at peace.

*Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Update:

My dad had a mini-stroke last Saturday. He also had to have a second and third surgery for his ankle that he broke and have the pins repositioned and then taken out once the bone healed. He is still commuting to New Orleans for work, 2 hours round trip and he occasionally takes business trips. He came to see me 7 hours from his home for the first time in a year(since graduation) Dec30-Jan 2nd of this year. He is so tired and he was using half the solution bag for his dialysis so he could get to bed sooner. He went into toxic shock and had a seizure and went unconscious Saturday night. My mother found him and could not revive him. She called the ambulance and he started having stroke symptoms. He was in ICU four days, cleaned out on the hemodialysis and then transferred to a room. He was released this past Wednesday. He will be able to continue the periotoniteal dialysis at home every night. He has different doctors with differing opinions, some want him on a new medicine bc of the stroke and some dont. So he will have to go to a neurologist this week to see and had to speak with his boss bc he is not sure when he is going to be able to come back and is afraid of how this will affect his career in these unstable times. I have never seen my dad this depressed and worried. He still has faith in God, although I can imagine it is a struggle for him at times with what he is going through. I can tell he is at wits end. For everyone that has prayed for my father and my family thank you so much. We, especially dad, could definitely use your prayers again in these frustrating times. Thanks.😦 :gopray2: Please pray for dad to have the strength he needs to get through this and not give up:knight1: :angel1: :gopray:

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Father God, and Holy Spirit - one, Triune God, please grace this family with your healing power, through the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Lord. Allow them to have a clarity of Your Will for them, and console them in their troubling times. Give them the strength to deal with any crosses you ask them to bear. Guide the doctors and medical team caring for this man, grace them with your healing power, if You so Will it, Lord God.

St. Camillus, pray for them.

Amen.

Father, I ask You to have the greatest compassion on this Dad who has been through so much for so long…and things are worse than ever for Him. What can I say to You, Father?

Please take him and his family deep into Your love. Please help in any way possible.
Have mercy, Father in the name of Your Son Jesus.

Everyone thank you so much for all of your prayers. It means more to us than you will ever know.Everytime I come to this page and I see so many loving and caring people that respond and pray for us; it gives me so much more peace of mind. It takes me out of the darkness and gives me a real sense of security. I thank each and everyone of you for the precious gift of prayer you all have bestowed upon my family. I truly love you all for this. My dad had another surgery yesterday morning. They put a fistula in his right arm bc he will no longer be able to use the pd dialysis. He will have to use hemo from now on bc the pd was not cleaning him out enough. Dad said hemo was brutal and he was trying to avoid that but now he has no choice. He went into surgery with a sinus infection but came out ok thank God. All of your prayers must have worked, bc, he has finally accepted me or my little brother as a potential donor. We are being tested now to see if we are a match. It will take a while for the whole procedure; but, we should know by about four months. Dad and I are the same blood type; so that may work, but we need to see if our tissues match. Dad is going to try my brother first; bc, I have not had children yet. But I will atleast know within the year if I am a match or not. It will be a lot of life changes, and, I know the love of Jesus and your prayers will sustain us in this tough time.

My brother is a match for my dad. He is a blood and tissue match. My dad did not want to accept our kidneys for years bc we were his children. It will be about 3 years he has been on the list and it has been there right in front of him all along. We both insisted. My brother to test first and if he wasnt then I. My brother is a match. Now we are trying to decide when and how to schedule the surgery. He consulted with many priests before accepting the kidney from either of us, and he felt it was time to accept. I think your prayers had a lot to do with that. Thank you all very much for everyone that has prayed for my family.

Continuing to pray for him …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

My father received a kidney transplant finally after all of this time. It was not my brother, but the donor will forever have a very very special place in my heart. He saved my dad’s life, when doctors told him he was not responding to his dialysis and would have 7-10 years to live. Now doctors say his kidney is kicking like they have never seen! It’s no wonder bc his donor was a tae kwan do greenbelt. A very special person that I will always love very much. Dad was called in at 2:30 in the morning and by 2:00am the next morning on Memorial Day dad’s surgery was finished and he has a new beginning. My dad will be able to see his grandchildren one day, my dad will be able to leave the house and travel and go back to work, and enjoy his family again. Dad will have happiness again instead a pain, sadness, and restriction. Our donor has given our family a new life, and his will never ever be forgotten. I keep his picture up on my bulletin board at work. I am so grateful for what my dad has received from him bc I know it’s not just about my dad but it’s about his donor too. I don’t know if this is the right thing to say but it’s the truth…Dad’s donor was an extremely cute, precious, and adorable young man. I feel a huge sense of loss for his family and for him, so it leaves me a little confused on how to feel, but he also saved 4 other lives besides my dad. He saved 5! lives, 2 of them were little children that he gave his heart and liver to. In my mind I have a new little brother in Christ that I keep close to my heart and soul everyday. I think about him a lot and will always think about him and be so grateful for what he has given my family. I am sure as time goes by I will be able to sort out my feelings a little better or to what’s “appropriate” or not. There is really no one else that I can say this to without overwhelming my family members at this time, although they are extremely grateful and thank God every single day for dad’s kidney. So I am just writing it. I pray for dad’s donor and his family a lot and think he is with my grandfather that passed away on the 18th. It’s been one heck of a week and 2 weekends. I am not supposed to say his name so I wont but just know that I love him and my grandpa very dearly, and thanks for helping my dad and our family. Dad will get out of the hospital tomorrow afternoon. Thank you to everyone here at CAF that prayed for this day. I love you too.:grouphug:
