Well, it’s done… I sent my application by Priority Mail (with Delivery Confirmation so I can see when they got it 😊)! I went to the post office, sealed the envelope, bought postage and said a prayer as I pushed it into the mail slot. No nerves, just relief. 😃 I’m relieved to be finished and now it’s a “wait-and-see.” I thought to myself, “This is it. This is what God is calling me to and I just responded!” I’m thrilled to finally have everything finished!

Please, please, please offer your prayers for my intention! I have no fear about anything and I’m over the moon that I am finished. I feel like I made the right decision. I’m at peace about all of it! I actually feel like dancing and singing! :extrahappy::whistle::whackadoo: :egyptian:

I can’t wait to see if I’m accepted or if God has better plans for me. Either way, I want to do His will.

I am SO excited for you!! Your happiness just flows through your posts!

Will surely keep you in my prayers for your discernment. 😃

Congratulations :extrahappy: I will remember you in my prayers before the Blessed Sacrament this morning.

Thank you and God bless all of you! I will keep you posted about my possible entrance! 🙂

Carmelitegirl,
God bless you and many, many prayers are on their way. What an exciting, special time this is for you and all of us here.

Thank you, Kathgirl. 😃 I appreciate that, very much! I can’t wait to hear back from the Sisters about my application. I put delivery confirmation on it so I would know when they received it. 😉 I’m crazy like that. I don’t know if the Novice Mistress will tell me when she received it, so I thought I’d cover it. 👍 Now, it’s just, very much, a wait and see. I’ve got a VERY good feeling about all this, and I’m thinking positive, so hopefully, that means something! 😃

:irish3::nun1:
I will ask the intercession of an Irish American during this lucky Irish week. Her name is Jessica Powers …a Carmelite, mystic and poet. She became a Carmelite nun at the age of 36 in a convent near Milwaukee. She is not a cannonized saint but lived a saintly life so I feel confident she is in heaven listening to us.
Thank you for sharing your vocation with us.

That would be wonderful! I think what’s interesting is that she is from Wisconsin (and entered Carmel in Milwaukee!!! 👍 ), and that’s where the order is that I am applying to! 😃 Is the process in the works of getting her canonized? Maybe I should start praying for her intercession, as well! 😃

May God Bless you on your journey as you seek His will. What a wonderful Vocation and a wonderful rich and rewarding life you will have serving our Lord this way.

My Great Aunt was a Nun. I can remember her playing soft ball with us kids. I always thought it was neat that she could hit the ball and run the bases, “In her outfit like Mary”. 👍 (that’s what I called it when I was a very young kid.) It always put a smile on her face. Funny, I never did see her slide into home plate…lol. but man could she run the bases…

May God Bless you!

Thanks, Adelore! May God bless you, as well! :crossrc:

Brilliant - this is so exciting, CarmeliteGirl! It’s really inspiring for someone like me, still fairly early in the process of discernment, to see someone enter the last few stages of application with so much joy and trust in God. You’re in my prayers!

Thank you! 🙂 God bless you in your discernment, and I pray that you find as much peace and love as I have found; maybe even more! 😉

I also have some exciting news to add to this thread! I may be going to do a live-in with the Sisters and working at the same time to pay off my 2 debts! If all goes smoothly, I would be able to enter even sooner than I originally anticipated! It seems that Jesus actually wants me to enter sooner!!! I talked to my mom about it this evening, and she thinks I should definitely look into it further. I sent an email back the Superior and asked a few questions. I really wonder if this is God’s will for me right now. I feel like it is a wonderful opportunity, and it would only be temporary, meaning that I could return home before I leave for the convent. I’m seriously considering this step, and I ask for your prayers that I do God’s will. Thank you, and God bless!
