My former sin has started again

I humbly request that you offer your prayers to the Lord so that I may rid myself of the sin of masturbation once more.

I had been going for a long time without committing this sin, and suddenly it has cropped up again; I have been quite unhappy with this.

May God bless you all, and all of your families.
 
I will definitely keep you in my prayers. I’ve also struggled with this sin once upon a time and it is hard to not do it once you’ve made a habit of it. Just keep praying to the Lord to make you strong and you will prevail. Don’t give up and keep the faith.
 
I will pray for you brother as I too am struggling with this sin. I also ask for prayers as well to help me overcome this sin. God Bless you.
 
I am not proud of it, but I masturbated myself for nearly 25 years. Like a recovering alcoholic, it never goes away. It is by God’s grace and that alone that I am over coming it. The feelings are still there, but when one shares a bed, it makes it harder to succomb.
I am now married with my wife expecting our first child in six days time.

Please, pray about it. You are not alone. Some things which helped me is not being alone in my room (i.e leave the door open for people to check on you, a hard one as I am a very private person), avoid the occasion of sin (looking at pictures, avoid what causes you to masturbate, {easier than leaving the door open}) and when the occasion arises, pray the rosary and if you can, while kneeling on your hands. Confess it to a priest. The devil loves secrets, but hates it in the open.

I will keep you in my prayers too.
