My friend has seen things during the night and she is terrified?

I was wondering what you’re point of view was on this. I was talking to a friend today and she told me about what appended her last night. She woke up now the middle of the night to see a grey figure by her bed. She thought it was her roommate and asked them what they were doing. The figure then moved back to the foot of the bed. Suddenly a mobile phone lit up and she realised it wasn’t her roommate as she was asleep and the figure disappeared. I told her maybe she should go to a priest. She’s really freaked out as she has seen other figures/shadows in the past. What is your opinion on this?
 
I agree totally with your advice. I have had similar, if not exact same experiences in the past. I do not wish to say the reason behind those experiences, for I do not wish to color your or your friend’s perception of the events, as my own experiences may be unrelated. I will, however, give you and your friend a piece of advice.

Do not allow fear to eclipse any aspect of your life. Excessive fear of evil is just as much a weapon against the faithful as the belief that evil does not exist. Be strong and pray when these situations occur. I have found that the invocation of the Precious Blood and the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel is extremely effective in deliverance in these situations.

If you do not know them, they are:

In the name of Your Most Prescous Blood, deliver me from this evil, O Lord!

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do, thou, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls!

Please tell her to use holy water to bless her entire apartment and ask St. Michael to protect her and her roommate.
 
Yesterday I read about a devil doll in England. The “London Mirror” took videos of it, and it looked pretty authentic. I don’t think it was a hoax.

The child was sitting on the kitchen floor playing with her two dolls. Another doll, propped up by the wall, had long hair and after a short time, her hair was lifted up on one side. Then her hair was put back down like it should be. The kid did not notice it.

She then went into the living room where she was doing something at the coffee table. Papers on the table started shifting around, scaring the girl away. Then it showed the table being moved across the room with nothing pushing it. It gave me the creeps.

A grey figure appearing in a bedroom is no less creepy. It would seem that these “things” just want to scare the daylights out of a person. Seeing a priest is a good idea, and I hope he will take it seriously. Meanwhile, step up the prayer and bless your home with holy water.

To this excellent suggestion I would add saying Catholic deliverance prayers. She could also have some candles blessed and light those for a while at bedtime or if something like this happens again.
 
Simply invoking the name of Jesus is enough to make these things go away, whether its demonic or something else.
 
Keep a blessed crucifix over the bed, and some Holy Water blessing oneself This will remind (if It is an evil angel) of the total defeat by Jesus over them. You also can pray using words like “Who is like God the Alpha and Omega” Your suffering will be forever and forever" Be strong in faith.
 
I would also add that she should ask her Guardian Angel to protect her, too.
 
I think it would be reasonable to consider that this could just simply have been a nightmare or night terror. I once had a really scary night terror where I saw Darth Vader at the foot of my bed. Maybe she should try to improve her sleep environment as well.
 
I would have the house, and especially the room, blessed by a Priest. Also I would tell her to wear a crucifix constantly.
