Hello all,
i posted a while back about my friends who may be getting divorced. A little background, I am friends with both and the woman for about 12 years the guy is my best friend and we have been together for nearly all of our 29 years on this planet. They were married 5 years ago. after talking to some friends of hers and talking to my guy friend directly, i seriously think she may be bipolar. By no means am i able to diagnosis this, but it sure sounds like it.
Does anyone have any experience with friends or relatives who are bipolar? What can you say to them? how did you get them to go to a doctor? She is very resistant to talking to any of her old friends. (there are two that she talks to, who i have been talking too as well and finding out some of these things, we all went to high school together). I am hoping she will meet with me sometime this week to talk, but she seems to be giving me the cold shoulder.
Is there anyway to show her i am worried about her and want her to get help, not just for the marriage, but for her own well being?
I think she will blow me off and probably wont give me the time of day, and even if she does, it is going to look like i am coming from my guy friends aide and want to convince her stay in the marriage, which is not true, i want to help her, i think she is mentally sick.
She basically has said that the church doctrine isn’t right (divorce) and that she knows that she is right with God and that any opportunity she is getting now is what God has planned for her. She was Lutheran and was always very active in the church, but now she has abandoned everything and everyone. I am so very worried about her, i just don’t know what to do.
Thanks again for all your help and prayers
