My Friend Pat who was a Beautiful woman died Tuesday late afternoon. She was a convert through RCIA 4 years ago. My wife and I worked with her and her neighbor Nancy serving meals during RCIA this year. her husband Charles came into the Catholic Church this Holy Saturday. Charles has health problems because of a stroke he had last year. Pat was his only care giver. Pat and Charles are the only Catholics in their families. I’m out of town working this week. My wife said their only son said NO! to a Catholic Funeral. I gave them both Brown Scapulars.

Please pray for Pats Soul, and for Charles.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

For Pat…

Eternal rest grant unto her, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

And for Charles…

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

May she rest in peace and may God give great strength and support to her husband.

So sorry to read this, and that Pat’s son is unable to accept that he should honour his mother’s wishes and respect her beliefs. Prayers for the family.

I pray that Pat is now home at the Father’s house.
Also, that God may grant Charles the strength to overcome this terrible loss, and grant forgiveness to their son, as he knows not what he is doing.

Our Father
Who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread

Pat’s funeral was today. Charles was waiting for me. Pat was laid out with her Rosary in hand. Looking around I thought was at Sunday Mass. My Catholic Brothers and Sisters came to pray for Pat’s passage. We out numbered the other side. Father Jeffery after being told, “No Mass!”, blessed Pat’s coffin with Holy Water. He then read from the Book Of Wisdom. There other Catholic Rituals he just went on and did. Pat was smiling from above.

Thank You All For Your Prayers.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones,
and all for Your love’s sake. Amen.
