So I want to have my own high end fashion label when I am an adult. I really like nice clothes and nice brands but although I like to wear nice clothes I try not to show them off, I would simply say I feel better about myself when I wear them. Would I be going against Catholic teaching if I became a fashion designer? Bearing in mind I wouldn’t make immodest clothes like really short skirts or really short shorts or tops that are to high.

Not against church teaching.

Probably a bit unrealistic, but not wrong.

Don’t take on debt to attend “design school”, that would be imprudent.

Learn how to sew from the best tailor in your town.

Find a way to support yourself while you pursue this dream, you have less chance becoming successful as one does becoming a rock star or a movie star. Keep your head on your shoulders.

This is an opinion. I would not suggest stating it as a fact. You don’t know anything about this person or their situation. Student debt is something the young person should discuss with their parents.

You’re allowed to think up creative ideas for cool new clothes

Not even slightly a sin
