Roughly, the East never accepted the Augustinian notion of inherited stain of guilt needing redemption as part of Original Sin.
Original basin itself is certainly a dogma, but itās the fallen state, mortality, and the tendency to sin.
This is also why them maculate Conception as dogma is a head scratcher to the Eastānot that we disagree, but that without the stain, of course Mary had no stain . . . making it a dogma is analogous to making ā2+2=4ā a dogma. Itās obviously true, and beyond dispute . . .
