…However, I am singularly unimpressed by those whose arguments can be distilled to “I’m correct because I post a lot.” …
And yet, nobody seems to have said anything that distils to anything remotely like that! 🤷

Hello again guys 🙂

I am sorry I didn’t answer in few weeks…I needed some silence and time in prayer…I thought about everything and I decided to forgive her

I really do love her and she loves me as well…she did a mistake but that is her cross…and I am willing to help her carry it.

We are both young(22 only) and we gave some kind of vow(promise to GOD…don’t know if “vow” is right word in english) not to do anything in our relationship we could be sorry about.

Now more than ever I know that I am not just “in love” with this girl but that I really do love her.
I am ready to give her my trust again.

From reading the OP, it doesn seem like she lied. It seems like OP assumed things about her. It could be at the time of the initial questioning she was pure and a year later engaged in sexual activity. He didnt ask so she didnt tell, AND they weren’t even together at this point in time, only friends.

I am so glad to hear that.

Please make your first step in helping her carry her cross to be that of finding a place to bury it.

She didn’t get pregnant. She didn’t catch a disease. She has no lasting effects other than the emotional ones. So having forgiven her, please bury this forever and let it decompose into a forgotten memory.

Just as baptism washes away both sin and the stain of sin, let your lives also be washed clean and renewed with no stain from the past tainting them.

Not unusual for a loose woman to lie about her virginity. They’re liars, almost without exception, anyway. In addition, she had sex behind your back two years into the relationship? What are you still doing there, is my question?

Konstantin, just substitute the word “man” for woman, and see how this fits.

Same thing – they’re both liars and I can prove it.

The church has to exercise better discretion as a whole when marrying these people. A LOT better discretion, as in, and this may be an exaggeration, but few repentenant fornicators ought to be allowed to marry, Harvard-acceptance style (percentages are really low to be admitted).

If the stakes are so high that only perfect people could marry, then no one would marry. Marriage is about two sinners helping each other to get to Heaven.
