My Grandfather is Dying

My grandfather is 97 years old. He’s been in the hospital for a week. My aunt said that his heart is having trouble, he has an obstructed bowel and he has pneumonia. He is receiving palliative care now.

He has been the most loving, kind, generous grandfather anyone could ever hope for. My great sadness has been that his is a non-believer. He is not any faith and while I tried to send him holy cards and other things over the years, he’s never been interested.

Would you please say a prayer that a miracle of God’s grace occur in my grandfather’s heart before he passes away?

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (+JMJ+'s Grandfather). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into +JMJ+'s Grandfather’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Thank you everyone for your prayers. My grandfather passed away yesterday afternoon.
