Dear CAF Brothers and Sisters,
Please pray for my grandmother, who I’ve just learned was hospitalized yesterday after having a stroke (her second that I know of). My father called me today to tell me that she has subsequently had some sort of seizure. The doctors cannot find what is wrong with her from any test they have done so far. She is concious and alert enough to attempt conversations, but definitely in no shape to go home. I am living out of state far away from my family right now, so I am feeling very helpless and concerned for her, my father, and the rest of the family. I am praying for her strength and recovery, and for the strength of the entire family, especially my father who I can tell is very upset by all this even though he doesn’t say so. He keeps reminding me (and himself) that she is very old and maybe it is just her time to go. If that is the case, I pray that she may be received into the Lord’s kingdom without pain or prolonged discomfort. She is the only practicing Catholic in my family.
I also long greatly to see her, of course, and it is weighing very heavily on me that this is not possible. May God grant me peace, as well.
Please pray for us all. Thank you.
