I am looking for help. I have custody of my 10 year old grandson and his mother has by-weekly visitation. She is a practicing Wicca with all that it entails. She is teaching this to my precious grandson and he is “eating” it up. My daughter started on this dark road at age 12 and she is now 26, so its not just a fad with her. This is what I was told so many years ago, “don’t worry” I was told, “its just a fad and she will out grow it”.

I am looking for spiritual help and prayers. Is there a Saint that I can turn to for extra help?,.,I have already placed my grandson under the protection of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, but was wondering if anyone else has had this most horrible thing happen in their family and can offer me advice on how to approach my grandson about how evil it all is without talking bad about his mother. I have very real fears for his soul.
 
Guardian Angel of this little boy,

You were created to watch over this little boy and he’s been placed under the protection of our Lord’s Sacred Heart, and Out Mother’s Immaculate Heart by this obedient grandmother. So you have to help us find those things that we can do to help her out. We seek knowledge for her and we ask that you pray for the soul of this little child and morever the soul of his mother who’d lead him away from the cross. Oh merciful Lord, we seek forgiveness for this mother, pray for her supernatural conversion, we will not relent another soul to the enemy. Please intercede for us Holy Spirit for you know man’s heart, please bring knowledge and wisdom into this situation.

I pray that this woman would be properly shielded for the spiritual warfare she in finding herself immersed in. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael
Saint Michael, Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And you, Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into Hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Consider a devotion and novena to St. Michael. My 10 y.o. son has a devotion to this Saint that protects and loves the young. He has had this bond with St. Michael because of nightmares he used to have and since he started calling on him, the nightmares stopped. Prayers for all involved.

I talked with my daughter today and she tried to tell me that Wicca is a “beautiful faith of the earth” and that it has been around longer then Christianity. She also told me that she would continue to teach him about this evil when she has him on her weekends.:mad:

I love my daughter and pray for her soul, but she is also an adult so can and does make her own decisions. My grandson on the other hand, is just a young child and has no idea the danger he is in with this evil.
 
I will be praying for your grandson as well as your daughter.
 
Prayer is coming your way… remember… hold your tongue. Each time you speak to her about it…you are causing her to react even stronger. Prayer is what works. Pray and let your Grandson see how happy you are.

Another Saint you might consider is St. Patrick, who had to deal with pagan religions that had great power over their people. Or practically any great missionary saint for that matter… St. Patrick just stands out, to me…

Dear Love4mary,
My sister was involved with Wicca for many, many years and her oldest daughter has turned out to be an atheist. My sister finally converted to Christianity but too late for my niece.
Do what you can for your grandson. He is in your care. Take him to Mass and to Adoration. Have him pray a novena with you, maybe. Show him that the one true God answers prayers, not pagan gods and goddesses. Help him make an altar in a special place, complete with statues, icons, prayer cards, photos of his mother, etc.
I took my younger niece with me to Mass and showed her the beauty of the Catholic faith and now she is a Christian at the age of nine. Thank God her mother, my sister, turned to Christ.
You have the care of your grandson; take care of his soul, too, but in a way that doesn’t denigrate your daughter.
And never give up on your daughter! I prayed for my sister for nearly twenty years before she finally converted from Wicca. It can and does happen! Use the intercession of St. Monica, mother of St. Augustine.
 
All of our prayers and suggestions have helped me and I thank you. RWMORRIS, thank you for reminding me about an Altar of his own in our home. I have one but its important that he also have one of his own. I never stop praying for my daughter, she was baptised into the Catholic Faith so I know that our Blessed Mother will not let her soul be lost to her Son Jesus.

Funny you should have mentioned St. Monica, when I was received into the Faith in 2004, I took as my Comfirmation name St. Monica. Thinking God is trying to tell me something?:rolleyes:
 
Hi love4mary. The best thing that you can do is be a shining example of happiness so your granddaughter can see that your faith is bringing peace and joy to your life. Keep positive and upbeat anytime you are with her and you will get her back for sure.
 
Are you also the legal guardian for your grandson? If so, have you looked into any restrictions that you can legally impose on your daughter to prevent her from influencing him in this direction?
 
Yes, I have legal custody of my grandson, but because the Wicca “faith” is legally protected and recognized as a real religion (:eek: ), there is little I can do to stop her. To hire an attorney would cost most more money then I have at this time.

Oh, in response to another poster, my grandson has received his First Holy Communion and is in the training phase right now to be an Altar Server. Praise God.

I have a friend who was going down this path. It seems the mystical fascinated her. So I fed her mystical Catholicism by giving her books to read on Saints like Padre Pio and I told her about the ones I knew about as I thought fo them. It turned her around and back to CAtholicism. She is now focused on finding otu more about Saints and so forth.

I suggest to try to start sharing about the Saints and what they did through God, get him books and movies on Saints. See if that helps.
Meanwhile I will pray for the conversion of your grandson and your daughter.
 
coreopisis,Thank You for this suggestion. My grandson has an interest in St. Michael. But he seems to shut himself off in his own little world and no one can enter unless he opens the door.

He is enjoying CCD though, which is a good thing.
