The Boston Globe - had a story on the front page about Saint Mary’s - NOT good.
“In the spring of 2016, officials at the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston
began suspecting that someone was stealing from the collection plate at St. Mary’s,
a Catholic parish in Winchester.
Local police and the FBI investigated, but no one was ever charged.
Parishioners, who had heard a swirl of rumors
about stolen donations
and quiet staff departures,
never learned what had actually happened.”
Then the story mysteriously begins.
It’s a quiet town - so it’s kinda exciting. I was an altar boy there.
Dad was a lector / CCD teacher. Mom was the first female Eucharistic minister there.
Many family weddings and baptisms etc etc etc
The last front page Boston Globe town story was -
"The man accused of stabbing a woman to death inside the Winchester Public Library a week ago
today has been sent to a maximum-security psychiatric hospital, officials said.
Jeffrey Yao was transferred to Bridgewater State Hospital
after the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office told a judge -
he was too mentally ill to remain in jail. "
