Joandarc, you have been so supportive of me in my threads, so I’d like to return the favor. I’ll be praying for you.

Let me just say from a practical standpoint that, at least in California, when someone files for divorce, they have to pay $355—he or she being the petitioner. Then the respondent must pay $355 as well. I don’t know how it works in your state, but you might want to look into whether or not you’d have to pay as a respondent. If you do, then it wouldn’t make any difference whether or not you do the filing, at not from a financial standpoint. If he makes way more money than you, then perhaps such a fee could be returned to you; heck, in my situation, I’m probably going to have to pay my wife’s attorney’s fees.

I also want you to know that I dated a woman who was epileptic. She had grand mal seizures that could not be controlled very well, even with medication. The rel’p ultimately didn’t work out for other reasons, but I just want to say that I am sorry that you are going thru this, I’ve seen first hand how tough a cross it is to be epileptic.
I have talked to the lawyer it is much different in Florida. Also my epilepsy is not controlled and I have a lot of side efects from the medications. But it is OK, at this point i will be starting a slush fund to file if need be. I found out today he was cheating on me right up until the marriage and that is just what I can prove. I am so upset. But whatever it is done one foot in front of the other.

My husband has left three days ago. I am very sad, hurt, angry, confused. I still consider myself married. Apparently so does he. He has made many comments that are demeaning about the faith although he does consider Catholic. There are many issues. At this point I am not going to file for divorce - I have spoken to a lawyer and I praying for true conversion of my husband and not this dog and pony show that he is putting on but preparing the worst. there has been mental abuse and abandonment. I am disabled and cannot drive and he left me with no way to get to the medical appoitntments I have and now I am at the mercy of my friends and the county. It is hard and I need support and prayers. At this point for him to come back if he ever wants back I have decided on three things that will have to happen and that is that three people will need to tell me he is ready - an individual a therapist, a couples therapist, and the priest that I am used talking to not the ultra one that he follows around. I need strength.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle within them the fire of the Love
Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created
and You shall renew the face of the earth

Oh God who by the light of Thy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful
Grant that in the same Spirit, we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in his consolation
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed by Thy Name
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done
On Earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

For Thine is the Kingdom, The Power and the Glory
Now and foreever

Amen

Hail Mary Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee!
Blessed art Thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever
Amen

Oh My Jesus forgive us our sins
Save us from the fires of hell
Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Heavenly Father we ask you to bless and keep in your most divine care our sister in Christ who is going through a turbulent time. We ask that you heal her where she is need of healing, especially in her marriage. We ask this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen

So sorry to hear this. I know exactly how you feel. My husband left me in May after 22 yrs of marriage. I had no clue. Now he is so angry at me that we can barely speak. He hates me. It is horrible to feel hated by someone you thought loved you and who you loved deeply.

I feel like my life is being ripped to shreds and what’s worse I have two kids that are going to have to go through it with me.

I am so sorry vse - I cannot imagine going through this with children - I will miss my stepdaughter but I am glad I have no children of my own.

You know - i have learned one thing in the last couple days - ex wives make great sources of information for anullment statements - his is even willing to testify at the tribunal and had all kinds of information and has asked me to help her younger daughter who did convert to Catholicism who absolutely hates my husband with any religious questions she has since she does not share faith with her mother. When one door closes another opens.
