Maria Rose,

Don’t worry, the Knights of Columbus are a great organization. They support many wonderful causes. I have been a Knight for many years and have never regretted joining.

I have been in the KCs many years also. All good men, do good things in service of the Church, drink a little beer and play cards. Its a guy thing. Don’t worry. He will get great support in being a Catholic husband and dad.

The Knights are now celebrating their 125th year in existence.

It was started by a Diocesan priest named Father Michael McGivney in Conneticut with the purpose of helping to support Catholic families in trouble, especially when the bread winner died, because their was no where for a Catholic family to turn for help. Those were tough days to be Catholic in this country.

Well this small group of men have now blossomed into an organization of 1.7 million Catholic gentlmen throughout the US Mexico, Poland and other countries, and it also boast one of the best insurance companies in the country. Our money donations are now in the 10’s of millions per year, and we give strong support, both financially and with volunteer hours to the Church and our Pope. We are the “strong right arm” of the Church. We are very family focused and very pro life.

So your husband has found a wonderful organization where the sky is the limit. Support him and tell to be an active Knight, and he will surely find fulfillment there I just got back from my Council where we set-up our Christams decorations today. Male bonding in the best sense of the term!🙂

Our founder, Father Michael McGivney is now up for sainthood, and we pray that we see the day of his beatification…👍

When I had my first level initiation they told me there was a goat involved but not to worry it wouldn’t be that painful…😉
