A very dear friend of my husband’s was killed in a car accident yesterday. My husband is devastated. He went out after work last night and came home VERY drunk. He was screaming, breaking things, pounding on his car. All at 3am. Im very worried for him. He has never handled grief well AT ALL. Please pray he finds peace and stays sober to deal with this loss. I cannot have another night like last night. Too scary!

Praying for you and your husband, and for the soul of his friend. Is there anyone you can ask for help, anyone who can talk to him and help him come to terms with his loss? Praying for protection for you, while he may not mean to harm you, he may do so accidentally.

My Heart and Prayers go out to you and your husband.

We all deal with grief differently… When something or someone is taken away we try to fill that void… Jesus is there to fill that void, however some simply do not turn to Jesus or don’t know to turn to Jesus.

I have known personally, friends and family, that have turn to drugs, alcohol, and even suicide to cope with the loss… >

The best human on earth to turn to is your parish priest.

“St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the weakness and snairs of the devil” >> Remember, the devil is doing all he can to have us turn away from God.

So sorry for his loss, God bless him with peace in his heart and the strength to bear this loss without anymore anger or alcohol. God bless you.

For your husband’s grief and may his friend rest in peace
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end Amen

Lord, grant your peaceful angels to calm and comfort 105lynne’s husband and all those who suffer from grief and difficulties. Keep them free from sin, and help them with your grace to always seek comfort at your foot. Mary, pray with us. Amen. :harp:

Mother Mary, please intercede for Lynne’s husband and ask our Lord to heal him. Amen.

Loving God I ask You to bless Lynne’s husband for such great loyalty and love for those he cares for that he cannot even handle the grief he feels.
Bless also his wife who desires and prays to help him through this tragedy.
Please help him to cope with such overwhelming depth of feeling without resorting to excessive alcohol and violent acts.
Please help him to find some sense of peace as he copes with the shock and sadness of this loss that is so painful to him.

Lynne, the first time my husband confronted death was the 4 yo daughter of a workmate, who had burned to death after playing with matches. My husband who thankfully never uses alcohol, threw his boots across the room and said loudly, “What a waste!” If he were a drinker a few more things might have been thrown about,
however he does take death quietly now.
I pray your husband will learn safe ways to cope.

I know what you’re going through. Unfortunately, my husband reacts the same way with bad news: anger and alcohol. Now, my husband is an alcoholic but is on the wagon except for those times. When one of those times come around, he goes on a horrible, horrible binge. The last time that happened I had to take him to the ER because of severe withdrawal symptoms. I have always asked St. Joseph for help in this regard and he has always heard my prayers.

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all 105lynne’s interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist her by thy powerful intercession and obtain for her all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, she may offer thee her thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. Amen.

St. Joseph, pray for us!

Lord God, I pray for 105lynne’s husband. Please tske him by the hand and embrace him, and give him comfort amidst the grief he feels. Touch his heart, soul, and mind so that he may realize that there are less destructive ways of expressing one’s sorrow and disappointment. I kikewise lift up to Your loving mercy, his friend who died in an accident. Olease welcome him into Your kingdom. Give comfort and ease the sorrows of those he left behind. Amen.

Remembering the repose of your husband’s friends soul in my daily prayers. May the Lord grant comfort to the family and friends who grieve for him, especially your husband, who has been so deeply affected by his passing. God bless.

Praying for your husband, and the eternal repose of his friend. (What is the name of the person who died?)
