I feel I am not doing something right. pray for me.
at church yesterday when I would whisper something to the kids they waved their hand in the air as if I had horrible bad breath. It was very embarassing and hurtful/
They are 7 and 8 yr old girls.
also… the younger one has been mimicking me right within my earshot when I tell her she needs to do something.
They are hurtful towards me.
The younger one measures me with her hands from the back if I am in front of her. then shows her sister how wide her hands are.
This behavior is all new in the past 2 mos.
I am really wondering what to do.
They break rules of not eating in the living room or bedroom and bring food in there.
i worry because they are only young now and will need to respect rules.
when they are bigger, it will matter even more.
pLease pray for me that I am guided to teach them respect.
It is not easy.
I work from home, and so I pick them up after school,. They get to play at home after school, do their homework, watch tv etc…
I do have the option of sending them to the after school program… I would get more time for work and myself… for fitness, finances, errands, and maybe even a hobby…
we do need to move this month, probably May 1st so I have alot to do.
I know it might be better for them to go to the after school program, give me more time… but they do not want to go. I know it is probalby me spoiling them, being single mom with no dad in the picture except for a day or 2 of a visit at his mom;s in the summer. so ai am the only one.

O Lord, please guide peacefulpainter in the way that You would have her raise her children. Give her the wisdom to teach them what is righ and wrong. Help her to love them as You love them. In Jesus name we pray.

Praying very hard for you Peacefulpainter. I hope your finances and children’s behavior improve significantly. Kids sometimes go through stages and hopefully this one will pass.

Sounds like you are in a tough situation. In my opinion (although I am just a teenager with no kids) is that you should take their stuff from them when they break a rule. YOu should take away tv time or make them stay afterschool. Talk to their principle and tell him/her that you kids have to stay after. You need time for you, you can’t be a good mom if you do not take time to be by yourself and doing what you love for a while. I hope this helps at all. I’ll keep you and your children in my prayers. God Bless

You have my prayers, I’m sorry you are going through this.

For your prayer request:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

God Bless You

Father, grant peace unto peaceful’s heart. The trials of a mother raising her children alone are many, and the sorrow often great. Comfort her Lord, in your loving embrace, as she struggles to be the mother you entrusted her to be. Grant her strength, and wisdom Lord, that she may teach her children all that they need to know, and grant her joy, that they may truly enjoy being in their mother’s presence. With love and laughter may they grow closer as a family, and learn the value of respectful behaviour.

We beseech You, O Lord, visit this home,
and drive far from it all the snares of the enemy;
let Your holy angels dwell therein
so as to preserve them in peace;
and let Your blessing be always upon them.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen

I prayed for you at Mass this morning. Hope things are going better for you.

Praying for you, peacefulpainter. I have 2 little ones, so I understand how hard it can be when children don’t listen. God Bless you in your trying times and praise be to our Almighty God and Father for the improvements you’ve been seeing in your girls’ behavior! 👍
