My little brother has heart problems

My baby brother (he’s 36, but he’ll always be my baby brother) was taken to the hospital the night before last with a possible heart attack. Today, he was given the diagnosis of Coronary Artery Disease. They’re doing an angiogram to see how bad the blockage is and see if he needs surgery. He is not a Catholic, and not even really Christian (he keeps his beliefs to himself mostly, but has expressed disdain for Christianity.) Please pray hard for his health, and for his soul. I can’t say enough how much my baby brother means to me.

Loving Father, You bring healing to the sick and
make them well again. Trusting in Your great
love and mercy, we lift up to You newcalling’s
brother, who is in need of healing.

Let Your divine love flow into the recesses
of his being. Touch his heart and all the other
areas afflicted with sickness. Let all his organs
function normally and his blood flow properly.

After he has been healed, Father, give him
the grace to seek your salvation. May he bring
glory, honor, and praise to You.

All this we pray in Jesus’ name through Mary
with all the angels and saints. Amen.
 
Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

I’m praying for your brother. May the Lord heal him of his heart problems and may He guide him to the christian faith.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (newcalling’s brother). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into newcalling’s brother’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
