I didn’t want to say anything about this here for whatever reason. So many other people seemed to have much better “reasons”, for lack of a better word. Plus, my mom is Episcopalian, correction, Anglican (got annoyed with the Episcopalians and helped start a new church, the second church she helped start!). I’m Episcopalian too, but I’m trying to “go Catholic”!

Mom passed away Easter Sunday morning. I can’t help but think there was something special about that.

Anyway, I’ve read some beautiful prayers here. If someone could say one or two for Mom?

Thank you!

Poco rest assured that Im saying prayers for you Mom. May she rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father and receive all that her heart desires. God bless!

Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Poco,
I always pray the Divine Mercy and a little part of it, goes specially to your mother:

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for your mother sins and those of the whole word.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on her and on the whole word.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on her and on the whole world.

Hoping that our Lord gives you resignation for your mother’s death.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto Poco’s mom, O Lord. And may Your Perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Merciful God You called Poco’s mother to You on the day of celebration of our Savior’s resurrection. In hope, we ask You to flood the graces of redemption on her soul in her moments of death. Whatever confusion she suffered in life, let her vision be clear in these moments where she welcomes the graces of love and truth and receives fully the graces of Your’s Son’s sacrifice for her soul.

Please give comfort to her loving family,
and draw Poco ever more deeply into Your love and truth

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen
