My mother and I got into an argument, because I am pro-life, and she says she doesn’t want me to be pro-life. She says that I am not respecting women. But that’s not true, I care about women. I’m confused.
I recently signed up to pray for the local parish’s respect life ministry. They called, as they couldn’t read my bad handwriting for my email. My mother said that she doesn’t want me to volunteer to have a sign, and be on the local green (I didn’t sign up to volunteer, only to pray.)
Am I disrespecting my mother by having different views than her?
How can she be in control of my views if I am of the age to vote (18.)
I would like to note that my mother is not a practicing Catholic. Should I have posted this topic in Moral Theology instead?
