My mother is having another surgery today 5/14

Thank you for prayers to date. My mother is still in hospital from 4/17 complicated surgery. (see previous post) Now she needs surgery to correct small bowel fistula which developed as complication. Initial surgery removed all cancer as per surgeon but things seeming like cure is worse than disease. Please pray.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amoungst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen
 
Dear God, this family has endured much through illness and surgery. Please help them through the discouragement and anxiety. Please guide the surgeon during today’s surgery and assist in the mother’s healing, dear God.

Praying for complete healing and for your family to experience a lessening of anxiety and peace during this difficult and uncertain time.
 
Thanks for prayers. Well, basically today’s procedure seemed to have turned out to be little better than a “look, see.” Surgeon did not close fistula, said he did some thing that might promote healing - not sure what those were, cleaned up some fistula output and observed some tissue that appeared to be healing. So basically = fistula being left to heal on its own, which could take 3 months, maybe more OR second surgical attempt to close. (Small bowel fistula, significant complication because empties digestive enzymes outside digestive tract into abdomen, this tends to damage tissues not part of digestive tract, after all these enzymes can break down animal tissue meats. Also can empty partially digested particles of food consumed, sooo… you get the picture.) Please continue to pray.
