My mother is having complicated cancer surgery today

My mother is having cytoreduction with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy. ( which is, like its name, rather complicated) for recurrent (3rd recurrence) stage IV equivalent colon cancer. She has to be at the hospital at 5:35 am est - actual surgery time unknown. Please pray.
Surgeon estimates six hour surgery time, but it is not unheard of for this surgery to take 10-15 hours or more.

Merciful and loving God, You conceived of JLD’s mother from all eternity as an irreplaceable part of Your Divine Plan for man. You alone have sustained her throughout her life, as You sustain her even now. In her moment of need, bless her with healing graces, O Heavenly Master, for You are the source of all healing. May the prayers of the faithful on earth be combined with those of the Angels and Saints to form a constant stream of petition for healing that reaches Your Holy Throne. Graciously incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Blessed Jesus, Who sits at Your Right Hand. May the doctors, nurses and technicians who care for her receive their guidance from You, and may their hearts be filled with compassion, in imitation of Your Son. Strengthen her loved ones as they struggle to place all faith and trust in You. We ask this through the same Christ, our Risen Lord and Savior, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

My own mother had a hysterectomy last week for endometrial cancer, so I’m moved by the emotion and tension you must be going through. Be assured you and your mother will be in my prayers. God Bless!

Thank you all for prayers to date, the outcome was not as good as might have been hoped for though.
 
O great Saint Peregrine, you who bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease, and were favored with the vision of Jesus Christ coming down from His cross to heal your affliction, ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of JLDs’ mother whom we entrust to you.

Aided by your intercessions, we praise God and give thanks for His kindness and mercy. Amen.

JLD, know that whatever occurs, it is necessary for the perfection of our souls. Our prayer would wane of the outcome was good as or better than expected. We shall persist in prayer for your mother.

Lord of all on Earth and in Heaven, we thank You and we praise You for Your Glorious Mercy. Your ways are so far above our own, Lord, that we cannot comprehend Your Goodness, which surpasses all human understanding. We continue to lift JLD’s mother up to You, begging Your Divine Mercy upon her. As her spirit is purified and perfected, we pray that her family and loved ones are strengthened to gratefully accept Your will. Lord, even the cells of our bodies obey Your Mighty Commands. We place all faith and trust in You, that Your will be done, as we pray for daily. Mercifully send Your Holy Spirit upon us, to enlighten our hearts to the Glory of Your Eternal Plans for us. May we strive to live, not for this life which ends, but for the next, which is eternal and perfect. Your Blessed Son Jesus Christ admonished us to store up treasure in Heaven. May we deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow His Divine Command. We ask this through the same Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Thank you for prayers to date. My mother is still in the hospital. Sometimes I wonder about her doctor, he is a researcher, and I’m starting to think that is more concerned with how things present as research data than with their actual practical effects on patient.
Please continue to pray.
