My Mother, My Queen
My mother, my queen, is the Virgin Mary, full of grace,
Mother of Jesus Christ, savior of the entire human race.
Mary is the most perfect human of all God’s great creation,
Preserved from sin, through Jesus Christ’s act of salvation.
On the cross, Jesus gave His mother to the beloved disciple, John,
And as the beloved disciple represents each and every faithful person,
So through His act, Jesus gave His mother to each and every one of us,
To love and care for us as her children and intercede for us with Jesus.
Mary is the beautiful woman clothed with the sun,
With the moon at her feet, which crush the evil Satan,
And a crown of twelve stars on her head, as Queen Mother,
For Jesus, her son, is the King of Kings and our brother.
We can communicate with our mother Mary in Heaven above,
Trusting that Jesus will facilitate our communication in love,
For He loves and honors His mother Mary most perfectly,
And would enable her to hear us and intercede for us dearly.
So I turn to my Mother Mary, with my most humble request,
Knowing that she will hear me and intercede as she sees best,
For she will ask her son, my Lord, out of her tender love for me,
To do whatever He can for me that would best for all eternity.
I too honor and love Mary, my mother and my queen,
For all she does for each of us, both seen and unseen,
Not only for bearing and raising God Jesus Christ her son,
But also for how today she lovingly helps each and every person.

Finished this poem this morning. It is one that can be shared with your Protestant friends to help them understand how we Catholics view Mary. Feel free to share with your friends. God bless.

Good job. Thanks for sharing. Thanks be to God, and I am thankful for our holy Blessed Virgin Mary, who loves us.
