It got down under 0 here on Saturday night and we had pipes burst. I did some work yesterday but rested and watched the cards.

I am currently patching leak #6. After each one I turn the water back on and find another.

I used to like winter.

Is there a patron saint of plumbing?

When you pray, remember my sanity.

Nothing else, just venting.

I’m sorry–that stinks! It’s been a while since I had my personal lines insurance license–but I believe that if your pipes burst due to weather, (not from you having the water off for days/weeks in cold weather or from them being old and in need of repair) you can claim that on your homeowners insurance. In other words, if your pipes broke from ice, or extreme weather conditions, I believe your insurance company can help. I’m not 100% sure–but think I remember the plumbing question on the test from years ago. 😃

Thanks. We’re going to call our insurance agent tomorrow. I patched all six minor splits and then found the major one about 45minutes ago.
