My nephew Nathan

Hi everyone, my nephew and Godson Nathan, who will be sixteen this weekend has been without a father for the last four years and I have been filling in that roll for the most part. I pray for him all the time that he stays out of trouble by not hanging with the wrong people.
Unfortunately, he is hanging with some undesirable people, a man who is 21 years old, gay and an alleged pervert( I know this from the cop next door). He as a girl friend who is 17 and likes to hang out with the 21 year old at his house. His girlfriend, she is a nice girl but has some emotional issues. ( she has done drugs and became sexually active at a young age from what I was told). Her own parents try to keep a short leash on her. I think Nathan can find someone better. He keeps her for the sake of having a girlfriend I think.

for the most part Nathan is a good kid and has not done any drugs or alcohol and is responsive in a good way to me. The relationship he has with his own mother is not too great because she has her own personal issues and she kind of treats him like ****.

I pray all the time that he keeps his grades up, stays away from these bad people. He has other friends that are better but I think he hangs with the 21 year old because of his girlfriend. Please keep Nathan in your prayers.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular Nathan), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.
 
Praying for Nathan’s guardian angel to protect and watch over Nathan and lead him to good decisions.

You know, I don’t know why I’m writing this, but my gut tells me you should go on a road trip or camping or something with this guy. If you know any other kids his age who he should hang out with, you could invite them too. I know, I know, you didn’t ask for advice, I just feel a need to say it. Maybe I just want to help a fellow 16 year old, maybe it’s the Holy Spirit, who knows. I don’t. 😃 Bl. Chiara, pray for us!

This can take a life-time. As the uncle, continue to pray for your nephew Nathan.
