My New Family Bible!

This one is a real treasure!

We had a used book sale at our recent parish festival – and I was blessed!

I found a beautiful Family Bible – published in 1959, with the Confraternity New Testament and the Confraternity/Rheims Old Testament – complete with multiple illustrations by Rembrandt, both in color and in black and white. The family record section is completely clean!

This is the kind of Family Bible they just don’t make any more – and I found it for

FIVE DOLLARS!!!

It is now a family heirloom!

I’m glad it has found a home with someone who will treasure it. I wonder if it was a duplicate wedding gift, once upon a time? I hope so, and that’s why it wasn’t used . . .
