Go to Reconciliation often and pray often, and God will help you.

One thing that worries me in your posts is how you say you’ve “stopped”. I’m not saying that’s bad, on the contrary, good job. But when I was struggling with lust, I had it in my mind that I was done for ever, and later when I fell again, it really got to me because I saw myself as too weak for God. Just recently I’ve realized that falling is part of being human. When He was human, Jesus fell three times on his way to his death. As long as we admit out weakness and ask for forgiveness in Reconciliation, God doesn’t care about our failures, he rejoices in our picking ourselves up and trying again! Keep trying your hardest to grow in His Love, brother, and He will take care of the rest.

:)Thank you for your condolences and prayers. As you know, we are so influenced by what we see on TV and other media that we come to believe sexual love is for our own gratification. Then we come to God, and if we’re not attentive, Satan can easily lead us into the opposite perception that if what we are taught in the media is sinful, maybe all sex is tainted. And Satan begins to work with this perception and makes it grow until one becomes so over scrupulous that one is blinded to the Truth.
You are welcome my brother. My prayers are with you. What a loss you have suffered. I totally agree with your view. I think even many Catholics need to understand, that they are so concerned with the letter we miss the spirit. This union between man and wife should develope so that the very act becomes a prayer in and of itself. And the two really do become ONE flesh. God bless you for your words of wisdom. And may God reunite you with your twin flame once again. Peace :signofcross:

…Focus on God, and seek him. …
Sound advice, this.

OP, your threads focus quite a lot on sex and your struggles with it. Perhaps you need to change your focus to include much more God and much less sex?

Seek an active faith and prayer life, seek Him. That is the best thing you can do.

Oops, never mind, OP. I see by reading more of the thread that you have already received a lot of good advice similar to what I offered and appear to be taking it.

Good for you!

Yes, I understand that falling is something natural for us human, I know what you mean, but if we can evade it, we should. Just because something is natural, doesnt mean that its an excuse that we should let ourself fall all the time and get back up. We should always try to improved our selfs spiritually and physically. For example, masturbation was a big problem for me. I know that many men have this urge of releasing it, so they can not help it so they masturbate. God wants us to control our bodies and have faith in him. Yes the devil will find different ways to tempt us so we can fall, but just like you said, its alright if we fall to a new devil’s trap, we should have faith and get up.

I remember before when I stopped masturbating for days and I though I was able to succeed, but then the devil found a way to make fall again, but I didnt give up.

I thought to myself:

“why is the reason I am masturbating?” “Is it because I want to pleasure my self and can not control the urge??” “I should not be doing something that God didn’t intend for us to do” “I should learn to control my body with God’s help”

Everytime I have the urge to masturbate, I think of all of that. Its been more than a week without masturbation. I will continue asking God for help so I can respect my body.

With Gods help, temptation can be control, no matter how hard they might seen to you.
